Education Programs

Gulf Coast Chapter - NRHS promotes railroad preservation and study through scholarships and other programs.

Scholarships:
Each year, Gulf Coast Chapter NRHS/Houston Railroad Museum offers a scholarship to the National Park Service's Rail Camp at the Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, Pennsylvania.  Click here for more information about Rail Camp.  To apply for a Rail Camp scholarship, contact Doug Weiskopf.

Scouting:
The Gulf Coast Chapter NRHS & the Houston Railroad Museum support scouting.  Railroading Merit Badge classes and Eagle Scout projects are usually offered by the museum. But since we are closed for moving, there will be no scouting programs offered for now. Please check back for updates on when we these programs will resume.

Speakers:
